Featuring the latest high resolution surround decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, the AVR-990 is one of the first to feature Dolby’s latest Pro Logic IIz decoding, which provides front channel height effects for the first time, dramatically expanding the front soundstage. Audyssey’s advanced MultEQ room acoustic measurement and correction system analyzes your listening room’s response at up to six points (microphone supplied), and automatically optimizes various parameters for the best possible sound quality. Audyssey Dynamic Volume ensures no annoying jumps between a TV program and commercials, and the Dynamic EQ function ensures smooth, rich sound at any volume level. Fully network-ready, the AVR-990 lets you stream audio and photos from your PC, and also lets you choose from over 7,500 internet radio stations, as well as connecting to Rhapsody and Napster music services (subscription required). For maximum connectivity, including five HDMI inputs and three component video inputs, the AVR-990 features Anchor Bay ABT-2010 advanced video deinterlacing and upscaling, converting SD sources to HD, allowing a single HDMI cable run to your HDTV.
